DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ACCRA, GHANA
Arrive at Accra airport. Met, assisted and transferred to your hotel (Hotel Check-in is at 3 pm).

DAY 2: ACCRA CITY TOUR
This morning, you would go on a city tour of Accra, Ghana’s capital city, visiting Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the National Museum, uniquely designed casket shops, and the Arts and crafts market.

DAY 3: ACCRA - BIAKPA
Depart for Biakpa with a stop to visit the Shai Hills Game Reserve, a small wildlife sanctuary. Embark on a trek to see various animals including antelopes, bushbucks, baboons, other animals, and several bird species. You may explore the ancestral caves of the Shais which are of historic importance to the Krobos and other tribes.

DAY 4: BIAKPA
Go on a hiking trail along the spectacular Kulugu River trail. You will have the opportunity of swimming in the Kulugu Canyon. Visit the Amedzofe Village, a picturesque hilltop settlement of amazing beauty. In Amedzofe, one can also find Mountain Gemi, the second highest mountain in Ghana with a 12 feet iron cross at its hermit planted in the 1880s by German missionaries in addition to other historical German architectural sites and one of the most beautiful but undiscovered waterfalls in the country.

DAY 5: BIAKPA – WLI - HOHOE
Visit Wli Waterfalls which is reputed to be the highest waterfalls in Ghana. You will also visit to Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary.

DAY 6: HOHOE – NKWANTA
Depart for Nkwanta to visit the Kyabobo National Park, a newly created Park which is found in the Dry semi-deciduous forest zone and has both forest and savanna species of plants and animals. Go on a hike through the forest which contains the nationally endangered endemic tree Talbotiella gendtii.

DAY 7: NKWANTA – TAMALE
Depart Nkwanta for Tamale, the capital of Ghana’s Northern Region. Stop en route to visit Yendi, the capital of the Dagomba State. This was part of a 19th-century German settlement.

DAY 8: TAMALE – PAGA – SIRIGU
This morning, visit the Paga Crocodile Pond where sacred crocodiles harmlessly interact with guests. Pose for a picture at the back of the reptile reputed to have assisted the founding father of the Paga settlement 600 years ago.
Visit the Navorongo Mud Cathedral of the Catholic Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. It is the last remaining mud cathedral in Ghana. This is an architecturally unique Catholic Cathedral built in 1906. Continue to Sirigu for overnight. In the evening, join the local people to enjoy a Xylophone music performance and ‘Pito’, a locally brewed beverage with very low alcohol content.

DAY 9: SIRIGU – BOLGATANGA
In the morning, go on a tour of the Sirigu decorative houses and crafts emporium. Visit the Chief’s Palace, Sacred Groves, and the Local Market to meet and interact with the people. Purchase unique souvenirs and gift items.
Continue to Bolgatanga, the capital of Ghana’s Upper East Region. Visit the Bolgatanga Market and bargain for renowned straw hats, baskets, leather goods, metal goods, and traditional clothing in a northern market that is a part of the historic trans-Saharan trade routes.

DAY 10: BOLGATANGA – MOLE
Depart Bolgatanga for Mole in the Northern Region of Ghana. Arrive by late afternoon and go on a late afternoon walking safari through the Mole National Park which is home to about 600 elephants, baboons, monkeys monitor lizards, bush-bucks, antelopes, and several wild animals. Watch different kinds of animals in their natural habitat. Check in to your motel.

DAY 11: MOLE
Depart for an early morning walking Safari through the Mole National Park and its surroundings. Take your time to watch the elephants, baboons, monkeys, monitor lizards, bush-bucks, antelopes, and several wild animals.
You may choose to visit the Mognori Eco Village observe village life and share experiences with some members of the community. Proceed for a late afternoon walking safari through the Mole National Park.

DAY 12: MOLE – WECHIAU – WA
Depart Mole for Wa in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Stop to visit Wechiau which is famous for its Hippo Sanctuary. Enjoy a canoe ride to see the hippos, which are rather temperamental animals. Continue to visit the nearby Lobi compounds and Lobi shrines.
Arrive in Wa by early evening and check into your Guest House.

DAY 13: WA - TECHIMAN
Depart from Wa to Techiman via a stop to visit the Kintampo Waterfalls, one of the most impressive falls in Ghana. This Waterfall provides a panoramic scene and superbly displays the beauty of nature.

DAY 14: TECHIMAN - KUMASI
Depart Techiman for Kumasi in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. Go on a city tour of Kumasi visiting the Manhyia Palace Museum, Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, and the Okomfo Anokye Sword. Drive past Kumasi Central Market, the largest open-air market in West Africa.

DAY 15: KUMASI
In the afternoon, visit a few Ashanti craft villages to observe craftsmen at work and purchase souvenir gift items from the wide assortment of handicrafts on sale.

DAY 16: KUMASI - AXIM
Depart Kumasi for Axim in Ghana’s Western Region. Stop en route in a village to visit an “Akpeteshie” distillery to observe the rudiments of local gin processing. Akpeteshie is a homemade alcoholic spirit produced in Ghana and other West African nations by distilling palm wine or sugar cane juice. Arrive by late afternoon and check into your guest house. The rest of the day is free to relax on the beach.

DAY 17: AXIM
Depart for Beyin to visit Nzulezo, the village on stilts, by foot and by hand-paddled canoe. This village is built entirely on the Amansure Lake. Meet and interact with the villagers who live on this large lake. Observe village life and share experiences. Return to your hotel and the rest of the day is free to relax on the beach.

DAY 18: AXIM - ELMINA
Depart Axim for Elmina in the Central Region of Ghana. Stop to visit Fort Groot Freiderischsburg located in Princess Town, this fort was built by the Brandeburgers (Germans) in 1683. It was taken over by an Ahantan Chief, John Conney, in 1708 and recaptured in 1725 by the Dutch and renamed Hollandia.
In the afternoon, we will visit Elmina Castle; a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1482 by the Portuguese. This castle was the first European structure built in sub-Saharan Africa. Check into your resort and the rest of the day is free to relax on the beach.

DAY 19: ELMINA
Depart Elmina after breakfast to visit the Kakum National Park. Go on a morning walk on the “Kuntan Trail” with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young at heart experience the “Canopy Walkway” suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest. The rest of the day is free to relax on the beach.

DAY 20: ELMINA - ACCRA
This morning depart for a scenic drive to Accra, Ghana’s capital city. Stop to visit Cape Coast Castle which houses the West Africa Historical Museum for a guided tour. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was one of the departure points for Africans being sent to slavery in the Americas. The castle is home to the infamous "Door of No Return". Arrive in Accra by afternoon and the rest of the day is free for last-minute shopping.
