DAY 1: ACCRA – AKOSOMBO
Depart Accra for Akosombo in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Stop to visit the Shai Hills Game Reserve, a small wildlife sanctuary, and embark on a trek to see various animals including antelopes, bushbucks, baboons, other animals, and several bird species. You may explore the ancestral caves of the Shais which are of historic importance to the Krobos and other tribes. Continue to Akosombo and arrive by late afternoon. The rest of the day is free to relax.

DAY 2: AKOSOMBO – WLI – TAFI - AKOSOMBO
Visit the Wli waterfalls, the highest waterfall in Ghana. Later, you will visit Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary where the endangered but playful True Mona Monkeys are considered sacred and are therefore protected. Return to your hotel and the rest of the day is free to relax.

DAY 3: AKOSOMBO – ACCRA
Morning at leisure. Late morning, visit the Akosombo hydroelectric Dam which generates hydroelectricity for Ghana and other neighboring countries such as Togo and Benin. In the afternoon, return to Accra with a stop to visit a bead factory to observe the intriguing bead-making process. You would have the opportunity to purchase various kinds of beads which are important aspects of African marriage life.
