Day 4: ACCRA – KUMASI
Depart after breakfast to Kumasi with a stop at the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) which was founded in 1938 as the Central Cocoa Research Station of the Gold Coast Department of Agriculture. You will be conducted around by the authorities through a model cocoa plantation to see the varied uses of Cocoa; processed into wine, soap, etc.
Drive past several scenic villages with fine examples of traditional Ghanaian buildings. Visit a few Ashanti craft villages to observe craftsmen at work and to purchase souvenir gift items from the wide assortment of handicrafts on sale. This is a unique opportunity to purchase souvenirs or gifts. Arrive in Kumasi by late afternoon and the rest of the day is free to relax in your hotel.

Depart Takoradi for a scenic drive to Elmina in the Central Region of Ghana. Visit the Cape Coast Castle which houses the West African Historical Museum for a guided tour. The rest of the day is free to relax on the beach.

Early morning departure for playing golf in your hotel. Visit the Kakum National Park, home of Africa’s only aerial canopy walkway. Go on a hike on the “Kuntan Trail” with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young at heart experience the “Canopy Walkway” suspended 100 feet from the forest ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
